PSLE English Oral Practice (Reading Aloud + SBC, with model answers)
Free, teacher-written practice for the two parts of the PSLE English Oral: Reading Aloud and Stimulus-Based Conversation (SBC). Every passage and photo prompt comes with a model answer and examiner-style notes, so you don't just get a "good answer", you see where each mark is won, the way a teacher would mark it.
Built for the current 2026 format: Reading Aloud passages carry a short situation line that sets the tone; SBC uses a real-photograph stimulus, with the first question asking the child to read the people's feelings and justify them from the picture, and later questions opening into the child's own views.
Format details reflect public 2026 sources. Confirm against the official SEAB PSLE English syllabus before relying on any specific point.
Reading Aloud
Short passages in the 2026 style, each with a situation line, notes on the tone to read in, and pronunciation tips for the tricky words.

Stimulus-Based Conversation (SBC)
Photo prompts with three questions each: a feelings-and-evidence question tied to the image, then two opinion questions on the theme. Each comes with a weak-vs-strong model answer and the examiner note explaining the difference.
- SBC Practice 1: Cooking Together at Home
- SBC Practice 2: A Community Clean-Up

- SBC Practice 5: Helping an Elderly Neighbour
How to use these: print one Reading Aloud passage and run one SBC prompt each evening in the run-up to the exam (12 and 13 August 2026). Ten minutes a day builds the fluency and confidence the Oral rewards.
